American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile is a 2006 comedy film set for a release December 19, 2006. After the success of the straight to DVD American Pie Presents: Band Camp, it was decided to make another sequel to the American Pie film. This would be the fifth in the series.[1][2]

  • The Naked Mile of the title most likely refers to a real event that was carried out annually by students of the University of Michigan until 2004.[4] UofM's naked mile traditionally occurred between the last day of classes and the last day of finals each school year. The participants, mostly senior students, would run or bike a pre-designed course through campus while partially or entirely nude. The last "Naked Mile" was in 2004 after the University worked hard to end the tradition through arrests and threats to students who ran.
  • The Naked Mile is also rumored to be a parody title of the 1999 film "The Green Mile".
  • In the film Eugene Levy is coming up with an excuse for why he is visiting the University of Michigan to tell to the young Stifler. He says it is because he went to that school and likes to visit on occasion. In reality Eugene Levy went to University at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario which is where a large portion, including the first scenes of the University were shot.

  • They changed the name of the school to "Great Falls High School".
  • Mississauga Rd. "Road with amazing houses and mansions" - Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
  • Parts have been filmed at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario during July 2006. Specifically, a few scenes involved the running of 100 naked extras. The filming occurred in an area of central campus between Edwards Hall, University Hall, Alumni Memorial Hall and Hamilton Hall.

The Region 2 DVD will be released in the UK on December 4, 2006 in PAL Widescreen and has been certified 15 by the BBFC with the following viewer guidance; Contains strong language and moderate sex and sex references. The movie was passed without any cuts.

The Region 1 DVD will be released December 19, 2006 in Fullscreen R-Rated, Fullscreen Unrated, and Widescreen Unrated versions. All feature Dolby Digital 5.1 audio in English, French, and Spanish. Extras include deleted and extended scenes, outtakes, and a full length feature commentary featuring the director, writer and cast members. The unrated DVD will also feature two bonus features.[5]
