Who am I? |

|
I am a female secondary school student from Singapore. I am also a Christian. I support Manchester United, and would like to visit Old Trafford one day, once my parents allow me to. I like reading fiction books, and am also interested in history. I don't play sports, except in PE lessons. And of course, I am a proud Wikipedian. |

Why Wikipedia? |

I edit Wikipedia because I think the entire concept of Wikipedia to share knowledge with the world is wonderful, and I wish to contribute to this project to the best of my ability. Also, as I am editing Wikipedia, I am bound to gain some knowledge myself as I read different articles every day, and it is thus very benefitting. I first created an account for myself because I share an IP address with 300000+ other people, which means that I am prone to being blocked on a regular basis if I don't have an account. After creating this account, I have discovered many other benefits of owning an account, such as being able to have my own user page and my own identity on Wikipedia. |

With parents who control the amount of time I use the internet quite strictly, I don't have the time to do the research and make very major edits on a regular basis, especially since I am not very good at researching effectively. I do, however, make edits which require less/no research, such as disambiguating, welcoming new users, correcting spelling and fighting vandalism. Between school and Wikipedia, school definitely takes the top priority. As such, I don't pressurise myself too much with trying to make very good edits and contributions. But within these limits, I try my best to do good and make contributions which are useful and helpful to Wikipedia. However, I'll be the first to admit I do make mistakes (such as te first time I used VandalProof, in which I reverted a few ligitimate edits and warned someone without meaning to). So I hope that if I do make any mistakes, you will take this in good faith and tell me what I have done wrong. As mentioned above, I use VandalProof for patrolling for vandalism, while I also use Lupin's Anti-vandal tool for spellchecking. This are the pages/categories/images I created/uploaded. |
