Thatcham Town F.C. are a football club based in Thatcham, Berkshire, England. Originally known as simply "Thatcham", the club changed name to "Thatcham Town" in 1974. Thatcham were founding members of the Hellenic League in 1953. During the 60s and 70s the club bounced between the Premier Division and Division One numerous times before joining the Athenian League for the 1982-83 season. However, the league was disbanded two seasons later and Thatcham Town joined the London Spartan League. The club spent another two-year stint in that league before becoming founder members of the Wessex League in 1986. In the 1988-89 season, they reached the Quarter-Finals of the FA Vase. Their best performance in the FA Cup was a fourth qualifying round loss to Boreham Wood in 1996-97. They remained in the Wessex League until they achieved promotion in 2005-06 following a second place finish. For the 2006-07 season, they are members of the Southern League Division One South and West.
