[edit] Song Inspirations

Sitting in the balcony of his church and looking at the congregation, Moen wanted a "simple song of thanks" and praise that would allow the people to thank the Lord in an uncomplicated way. He prayed the Lord to give him a song that would allow people to thank the Lord easily. The song that the Lord gave was Thank You Lord, the title cut of the album.[1]

Another song in the album, Jesus, You Are My Healer, was also written by Moen. The song was written in dedication to a friend who had been diagnosed with cancer.[2]
