Thames Town
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thames Town is the proposed name in English for a new town in Songjiang, about 30 km from central Shanghai, China. The town features buildings designed in imitation of traditional English country styles. The difference, however, is that these houses or townhouses are set closely together because of the premium price of land in Shanghai.
The town, which is mostly complete, is expected to house approximately 10,000 people and has cost 5 billion yuan to construct.
