Thalictrum thalictroides, the rue anemone, is a plant in the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae. It is more commonly known by its former scientific name, Anemonella thalictroides.
This plant is a spring ephemeral native to the forests of eastern North America, but is also cultivated in shade gardens.
