Thalayolaparambu

Thalayolaparambu is situated in Kottayam district of Kerala state, south India. It belong to the Vaikom legislative assembly and Kottayam parliament constituency. This is one of the important town between kottayam and ernakulam. This is one of the important tourist place in kerala.Piravam Road and Vaikom Road are the nearest railway stations.

It is a nice village evolving to be a small town. The relegious harmony of the place is evident as one can see the church, temple and mosque situated close to each other. the place, a vibrant small town hosts the biggest Chantha or the make shift market of the locality.

This village is the hometown of famous personalities like Vaikom Muhammed Basheer and A.J.John.


There are three cinema theatres in Thalayolaparambu. Nice Movie House, New Ragam and Queen of Sheeba.

There are two high-schools and one college in Thalayolaparambu. Dewaswom Board College is situated at Vettikkattumukku.
