Thakurgaon is a district in Northern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Rajshahi Division.

Thakurgaon is in the northeast corner of Bangladesh. It is surrounded by Dinajpur district by its south, Panchogar district by its east and India by its west and north sides. This is a Himalayan plane land.

The history of Thakurgaon is very glorius, specially during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971 people of Thakurgaon played a very positive role to make homeland enemy-free.

There is a sugarcane plantation - TSM (Thakurgaon Sugar Mill), part of the BSFIC.
