[edit] Tharavadu

This article must be re-written to give the proper impression that this system was the tradition of Kerala society and not unique to Nairs. There could be unique features in Tharavadus of various castes but Tharavadu as an institution it was a unique feature of Malabar(Kerala and Tulu Nadu). In fact, I believe it was Brahmin Tharavadus that became strong, eventually rulers of the Kerala society. The Nair Tharavadus later followed them. The article must project all these facts.

[edit] Vazhi names

Is it possible for list out the root "Vazhi"s(Bari or Bali in Tulu) of Nairs and Ezhavas(maternal or paternal)? The Billava caste in Tulu regions have these Vazhis that is patrilineal but supposed to have equivalents in matrilineal Bunts and Chaliyans. I wonder if somebody could give a list of North Kerala Tiyan and Nair Vazhis. Thanks.
