Hi. Please stop adding copyrighted works from other websites. It's against policy. Thanks! - Lucky 6.9 23:01, 13 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Serious warning, bro. You cannot post copyrighted material, nor can you blank the page once it's been flagged. You are right on the verge of being banned from editing. Please do the right thing. - Lucky 6.9 23:12, 13 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Please cite a page which gives you the right to copy the information you are copying. Has it been released under the GFDL? RickK 23:19, Aug 13, 2004 (UTC)

The Texas Handbook says this:

The materials used and displayed on the Service and the Sites, including but not limited to text, software, photographs, graphics, illustrations and artwork, video, music and sound, and names, logos, trademarks and service marks, are the property of TSHA or its affiliates or licensors and the original author, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Any such content may be displayed solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to modify, reproduce, retransmit, distribute, disseminate, sell, publish, broadcast or circulate any such material without the written permission of TSHA, the original author or the appropriate affiliate.

This is not acceptable release under the GFDL, nor can we guarantee that it not be modified or reproduced. Therefore, all copies you have made from this handbook are in violation of their copyright and of the GFDL. RickK 23:24, Aug 13, 2004 (UTC)

Texastame: Please don't think Wikipedians are rude, everyone apreciates all effort put into the project, these are just polite requests not to contribute material that we can't use! Also, please don't hate all women and all gays just because some of them are bastards :( --Steinsky 23:48, 13 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Nobody has any desire to prevent you from contributing. Please do so. But copyright violations are taken VERY seriously here, because they could cause the project to be shut down. RickK 19:03, Aug 14, 2004 (UTC)

Hi. You keep adding comments like "people are mean here". I think you'll find that that is not true at all! You just need to understand the importance of not taking someone else's copyrighted work; original contributions are very welcome. Take a look at Wikipedia:Copyright for more info, and find out why it so important for Wikipedia to protect itself from illegally taken copyrighted text! -- Infrogmation 16:50, 21 Aug 2004 (UTC)
