The Texas Theatre is a theater in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas (USA).

It was here that Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested on 22 November 1963, for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the murder of Dallas police officer J.D. Tippit. There are many conflicting reports regarding the arrival and subsequent arrest of Oswald at the theater.

When first opened in 1931, the Texas theatre was the largest suburban theater in Dallas and was part of a chain of theaters once owned by Howard Hughes.

Following closure in 1989, the theatre was restored in 2003 as part of a larger urban renewal plan instigated by the Dallas city authorities. The theater was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in the same year. The theatre now plays host to a variety of community events and performing arts shows, in addition to the screening of movies.
