State Highway OSR is a section of the Old San Antonio Road in east central Texas. While most of the original Old San Antonio Road (that is, the section of the road that is not private property) follows State Highway 21, this state-maintained route provides a routing close to the original alignment of the road near and around the Bryan - College Station area.
From the east (i.e., traveling toward San Antonio), Highway OSR begins in Midway in Madison County, at its junction with Highway 21. It traverses northwest to an intersection with Interstate 45. It then travels southwest through the town of Normagee in Leon County, and crosses U.S. Highway 190 and State Highway 6 north of Bryan. After skirting Robertson County, the highway ends at another junction with Highway 21 in Brazos County, just east of the Brazos River.
"OSR" is the only state highway in Texas with a completely alphabetical designation.
