Texas Interconnection

The Texas Interconnection is one of three power grids in the continental United States and Canada, the other two being the Eastern Interconnection and the Western Interconnection.

The Texas Interconnection is unique in that it does not cross state lines, thus allowing it to avoid federal jurisdiciton under FERC. As such, it is overseen by ERCOT.
