Teuchezhsky District

Teuchezhsky District (Russian: Теучежский райо́н; Adyghe: Теуцожь район) is one of the seven districts of the Republic of Adygea, Russia. The area of the district is 710 km²[citation needed]. Its administrative center is the aul (village) of Ponezhukay. District's population: 19,951 (2002 Census); 21,929 (1989 Census). Population of Ponezhukay accounts for 16.9% of the district's population.
