Tessa James

Tessa James is an Australian actress who currently portrays the character of Anne Baxter on the Network Ten soap opera Neighbours. This will be a fairly short term role, only lasting for a couple of months. Tessa is currently completing Year 10 at Methodist Ladies College in Melbourne. She studies drama at St Martins in Melbourne.

Anne Baxter is a blind girl who enters the scene as a mysterious girl with an unknown background. It is not known who her family is, where she lives or where she is from. Anne appears to be a close friend of Bree Timmins but things later take a drastic turn when it is revealed that she is Janelle's real daughter (she and Bree were switched at birth) and she has come to Ramsay Street to meet her real mother, that being Janelle Timmins. Janelle finds out through a phone call message, and it becomes apparent that Anne never intended on being Bree's friend. She was only after one thing: her biological family, which does not include Bree. She was taken away by her non-biological parents to the airport destined not to return.
