Tessa Hafen

Tessa Hafen was the Democratic candidate for the United States House of Representatives in the 3rd Congressional district of Nevada in the 2006 election.

She formerly was the press secretary for US Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.

She was born and raised in Henderson, Nevada. Hafen graduated magna cum laude from Southern Utah University with a B.A. in communication.

At 4:10 am Eastern time on November 8, 2006, the Associated Press called the election for incumbent Jon Porter, 48% to Hafen's 47%. The margin of victory was only about 4,000 votes.[1]
