Teshie

Teshie is a city in Ghana in the Greater Accra Region. Fort Augustaborg, built by the Danes in 1787, is located in Teshie and was occupied by the British from 1850 to 1957. The national Officer Cadet Training School and Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) are also located here.
The Teshie people are well known for their no non-sense attitude and yet hospitable to all race and back ground. It currently well diversed as a result of the country's current democracy and development program. The best part of the year to be at Teshie will be in August when the people celebrate their annual Homowo Festival, it is colorful, enchanting and fun you could almost walke in to any house and get servered food. It is also a fishing community in the south part of the sub of Teshie most people born from that part are more likely to choose fishing as their career while in the north part you see middle class.
