[edit] License tagging for Image:Volume magazine 8.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Volume magazine 8.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Your Volume cover uploads
Awesome! I've been hoping somebody would scan some of those and put 'em up; I have only a few of the TEX, TA, and Wasted myself.
One thing you will need to do is tag those image pages with {{albumcover}}, which displays the "this is a copyrighted album cover, used as fair use, blah blah blah" tag. Otherwise your uploads will probably get deleted within a week. Some folks will also want to see a fair-use rationale, like some verbage which describes why it's a legitimate fair use. See one of my uploads, Image:Volume wasted cover.jpg for an example of what I'm talking about.
Also, you might be asked to upload a smaller version - part of the fair use criteria for stuff like that is that the use is small, and couldn't be used to create a bogus copy of the cover. The covers only need to be 200 pixels wide, for display in the infobox.
Just some stuff to watch out for. Thanks again for uploading those! — Wwagner 23:52, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
