Terrible Herbst

Terrible Herbst, or Terrible Herbst Oil Company, is a privately held gaming and gas station company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is the second largest[1] slot route operator in Nevada.

Founded by Ed Herbst in 1959.
On December 8, 2002, Terrible Herbst Gaming agreed to buy International Game Technology's Anchor Coin 1,100 machine slot route.
In May of 2006 Sands Regent announced plans be acquired by Terrible Herbst Gaming.
On October 31, 2006, MGM Mirage announced plans to sell Primm Valley Resorts to Terrible Herbst Gaming for $400 million. The proposed sale would not include the Primm Valley Golf Club.
