Theresa 'Terri' McGregor is a former character on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. She was protrayed by Christina Schmidt.

Terri and Ashley were best friends together they ran the halls of Degrassi. Terri tried to help Ashley in every way she could but found that sometimes Ashley was blinded by her problems that she could not see her friends trying to help her.

[edit] Getting Drunk

Feeling down because of her weight, Terri is feeling a bit happy that Spinner is interested in her. However things take a turn when Paige gets jealous then gets Terri drunk. Terri arrives at the party drunk and then goes to the bathroom and throws up. The next day at school Terri finds out she has lost Spinner.

As Ashley went into a complete transformation with the ecstasy thing, Terri was the only one who stood besides her even when everyone else left. Terri demonstrated that she truly could be a great friend.

After Ash seems to be getting popular again, Terri is happy to be by her side. Then as Ashley starts screwing up again and everyone finds out that Ash accepted a date with Sean, Ashley goes back to the unpopular section and this time Terri choses to stick with Paige and not Ash.

Terri starts to get more money and people start thinking she's shoplifting. It turns out Terri is a plus size model but becomes ashamed when the posters start spreading across town. However after dissing the ice cream boy, Terri gets the confidence she needs to be proud of who she is.

Terri becomes thrilled after getting her first real boyfriend. He seems so perfect and right for her. However things take a turn when he begins to be too controlling and starts being possessive over Terri. Terri assures that its nothing but then he starts hitting her. Hazel notices and tells her to be careful. Finally Terri can't take it anymore and dumps him with Jimmy assuring that he will protect her from Rick if he ever tries anything again.

Terri once again falls into Rick's trap and they begin seeing each other again. However things get too out of hand when Rick gets pissed at Paige. Terri follows him into the woods and he gets so mad at Paige that he grabs Terri and pushes her and she hits her head on a rock. She goes into a coma and soon everyone wonders what will happen to Rick. Paige and Spinner feel guilty but in the end Terri's dad assures them they are great friends.

Later, Rick leaves but comes back in Season 4 of Degrassi, with no charges pressed for what he did to Terri. Terri however appears again when a depressed Ash visits her in the hospital. It is then revealed that due to the trauma of the event and Terri's dad wanting to avoid Rick, Terri transfers out of Degrassi and into private school.
