Terran

The term Terran is commonly used in science fiction to refer to humans. The word derives from Latin terra (Earth). In particular, it can refer to:
- Terran Federation (from Robert A. Heinlein's Starship Troopers, 1959)
- Terran Empire (from the Mirror, Mirror episode of Star Trek, 1967)
- Terran (StarCraft) and their various governments (from the StarCraft universe)
- Terran Federation (Starfire) (from the Starfire universe)
- Terran Confederation (from the Wing Commander science fiction series)
- Terran Alliance (from Battle Opera Gunmech), Terran Alliance, Humans in Galactic Civilizations
- Terran Hegemony (from BattleTech)
- Terran Federation (from the science fiction TV series Blake's 7)
- Universal Terran Church, an interfaith church that teaches that "All Paths Are Valid"
- Galactic Terran-Vasudan Alliance (From FreeSpace 2)
- In the Exosquad universe, Terrans are homo sapiens.
- Terran Republic (from PlanetSide)
- People from Earth refer to themselves and are referred to as Terrans on the TV series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century from 1979.
