Terence John Arbuthnot

Group Captain Terence John Arbuthnot, CdeG, OStJ (October 8, 1906 – December 31, 1995) was a British airman.
The son of Major John Bernard Arbuthnot and Olive Blake, he was educated at Eton College, Berkshire. Arbuthnot served in the Royal Air Force, fighting in the Mohmand Operations in 1933 and the North-West Frontier two years later. Between 1936 and 1937, he took part in the Waziristan Campaign. During the Second World War, Arbuthnot served in France, where he was decorated with the Croix de guerre and reached the rank of a Group Captain. He was further honoured as Officer of the Order of Leopold of Belgium and was invested as a Officer of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. Arbuthnot died aged 89 in Kensington, London.
On 20 April 1937, he married Karin Gunborg Sundgren, daughter of Carl Adolph Sundgren, in India. They had three children, two daughters and one son.
