Teodoro Borlongan

Teodoro Borlongan (1955April 11, 2005) was the last president of the once strong Urban Bank. Borlongan was unofficially known as one of the leading bankers in the Philippines.

Borlongan was one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men for domestic banking in 1993. He graduated cum laude from the Ateneo de Manila University.

Urban Bank was one of the largest banks in the Philippines, until court cases brought it down in 2000.

On April 11, 2005, he brought flowers to his parents graves at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City. After making calls on his cellular phone to his wife and close relatives, he stepped into his parked car and took his own life with a gunshot to his left temple. He was 49.
