Tena (brand)

Tena (sometimes spelled TENA) is a Swedish-based brand of the SCA Group that specializes in products for adults with urinary or fecal incontinence, such as pads and diapers. (Tena also produces one youth diaper brand for teenagers and larger children.) The company has offices in all of North America, most of Europe, in Australia and New Zealand, and some parts of Asia and Central America.

SCA, the parent brand of Tena, was founded in Sweden in 1929 by Ivar Kreuger as a paper packaging company. The company has produced personal hygiene products since the 1970s but Tena has only been a brand since the 1990s. In 1998, SCA Personal Care was created and took control of 25% of the world's share of incontinence products. The company's incontinence products branched off into another name called Tena later that year.

- TENA DriActive Liners: These are pads designed for very light loss of bladder control.
- TENA DriActive Slender Pads: These are the thinnest pads Tena carries for women. They are designed for stress incontinence caused by sneezing, coughing, laughing and so on. These pads can be folded and stored in purses as well.
- TENA DriActive Plus Pad: This pad replaces the old TENA Thin Pads. Designed for light loss of bladder control, these pads are also designed to be more discreet and quiet using a cotton-like exterior.
- TENA Extra Pads: These pads are designed for light to moderate loss of bladder control. They have high-rising leak guards to help prevent possible leaks.
- TENA Extra Plus Pads: These pads are designed for moderate but frequent loss of bladder control. Its core is more absorbent in order to pull urine away from the skin quicker. They have high-rising leak guards to help prevent possible leaks.
- TENA Night & Day Ultra Plus Pads: These are the longest pads Tena carries, designed for spontaneous and moderate leakage both during the day and lying down at night. They have cushion-like sides to fit the body's shape in both daytime and night-time. Its core is more absorbent in order to pull urine away from the skin quicker.

- TENA Discreet Protective Underwear: Absorbent pull-up pants designed for moderate loss of bladder or bowel control. They have elastic waistbands in order to increase comfort.
- TENA Protective Underwear: Absorbent pull-up pants designed for moderate to complete loss of bladder or bowel control. Like the Discreet Protective Underwear, they have elastic waistbands. They also have a cotton-like exterior to reduce noise.
- TENA Flex: Designed for complete loss of bladder control, this product uses double elastic waist straps and a large absorbent pad that covers both front and back. The Air Dry layer is the main feature of this product, as it allows for air circulation to help the skin.
- TENA Super Briefs: Designed for moderate to complete loss of bladder or bowel control, this product is a diaper that uses layers to absorb urine more effectively.
- TENA Ultra Briefs: Similar to the Super Briefs, but also has a cotton-like exterior to reduce noise. Designed for moderate to complete loss of bladder or bowel control.
- TENA Classic Plus Briefs: Similar to the Ultra and Super Briefs, but they also feature a layer to absorb urine faster to improve skin health. Designed for moderate to complete loss of bladder or bowel control.
- TENA Night/Super Pads: Designed for complete loss of bladder control during the night-time. They are designed to hug the body's shape at night.
- TENA Day Plus Pads: Designed for complete loss of bladder control during the daytime. They are to be worn with mesh or knit pants.
- TENA Day Regular Pad: The same as Day Plus Pads, but for moderate loss of bladder control.

- TENA Small Briefs: A diaper designed for moderate to complete loss of bladder or bowel control, this size is designed for smaller individuals who are not large enough for the adult sizes but are too big for the youth sizes, such as teenagers.
- TENA Extra Large Briefs: A diaper esigned for moderate to complete loss of bladder or bowel control, this size is designed for individuals who are too large for any other Tena sizes by featuring a larger leg cut and increased absorbancy.
- TENA Youth Brief: A diaper designed for teenagers and large children with moderate to complete loss of bladder or bowel control. For this diaper, urine dispersion is increased and absorbancy is increased. There is also a wetness indicator that tells the caregiver or wearer when the diaper needs to be changed.
- TENA Belted Undergarment: Designed for moderate loss of bladder control. Features re-usable straps that can be used with a large absorbent pad that stretches from front to back. It resembles a diaper, but with straps on the sides.

- TENA Skin-Caring Washcloths: Cleansing wipes to prevent diaper rash.
- TENA Skin-Caring Wash Cream: Creams to prevent diaper rash and skin breakdown. They also help prevent odors.
- TENA Mesh Pants: These pants are to be used to hold incontinence pads in place. It uses mesh, which allows the skin to breathe and also to reduce pressure points.
- TENA Knit Pants: Similar to the mesh pants, but these have no seems, almost eliminating the presence of pressure points.
