Ten Things I Hate About Me is the second novel by Randa Abdel-Fattah. It was released on the 1st October 2006, in Australia, with Pan MacMillan Australia. It followed Jamie (Jamilah Towfeek) as she tries to conceal her Lebanese background from her classmates. She hates everything about herself and wants to change. She can only really talk to her email pal John, even though he seems to be hiding something from her. To complicate matters, the most popular boy in school likes her, but he would freak out if he knew she was Lebanese. Finally, to top off the complex situation, she can’t stop thinking about the school “loner”, Timothy.
