Talk:Tenseiga

Why the persistence with changing the correct romanization "Tessaiga" back to the incorrect "Tetsusaiga"? I've changed it back to the former. If any of you have objections please post why here. Reene (りに) 08:10, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Well apparently when I did this last month, I didn't realize that we had standardized on that. Sorry for the inconvenience. -- EmperorBMA|話す 09:02, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)

What's the literal translation of the sword's name? crazyeddie 20:41, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Based on the results that I got by looking the kanji up in Bisqwit's kanji search, I think that it means "heavenly life fang" or something like that. Josh 09:16, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)
Quoting: "The literal translation of the kanji is "heavenly life fang" or "fang born out of heaven", but these are not necessarily accurate representations of the name's actual meaning." Judging by the sword's abilities and history it seems to me these translations, especially "heavenly life fang" is exactly what the creators were going for naming the sword as such. Can anyone provide another meaning they might have intended or any evidence that the translation doesn't accurately reflect the meaning? If not the second half of this sentence should be removed. Why was the picture of Tenseiga removed? Tessaga still has the picture from the third movie up in its page. I saved the picture of it and it can be found here: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a321/mrpsychic8472/tenseiga.jpg I just don't know how to post images, someone else can do it. MrPsychic
