Temple is a London Underground station in the City of Westminster, on the Victoria Embankment. It is on the Circle and District lines between Embankment and Blackfriars and is in Travelcard Zone 1.

The name comes from the Knights Templar, via Inner Temple and Middle Temple, which are situated nearby. It is also the closest station to Aldwych tube station, the famous disused station of the London Underground.

[edit] Notable local places

Temple is the nearest tube station for King's College London and the London School of Economics.
