Tempestt Bledsoe

Tempestt Bledsoe (born August 1, 1973) is an American actress best known for her role as Vanessa Huxtable in the popular 1980s sitcom, The Cosby Show.
In the mid-1990s, she enjoyed a short-lived stint as the host of her own daytime talk show, Tempestt. More recently, she has been featured in the role of a single mother on the ABC show The Practice and the Lifetime show Strong Medicine.
In television interviews, she is often asked about and speaks of her experiences as a child star together with her co-stars Bill Cosby, Phylicia Rashad, Lisa Bonet, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Sabrina Le Beauf, and Raven-Symone.
Bledsoe is mentioned in Stephen Levitt's Freakonomics as an example of her first name being mistaken for "Temptress". She was a contestant on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club in 2006. On the 8 episode, 100 day program, Tempestt had reached a 21 lb. weight loss on episode 7, however, gained 2 pounds the following, final, episode, puting her weight loss total at 19 lbs. Tempestt was traded off her team in week 6.
