(Apr. 29, 2004) - NASCAR race officials use a template to measure the profile of the No. 14 Navy-sponsored Chevy Monte Carlo to verify that the car meets required specifications prior to qualifying for the Stater Bros. 300 race held at the California Speedway. The Navy sponsors the Fitz-Bradshaw owned car that runs in the NASCAR Busch Series for recruiting purposes. Atwood finished 29th in a field of 43 starting drivers.
