Teltron Tube
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A teltron tube is used to fire electrons. They usually emit a bluish fine line which can be seen more clearly in the dark.
They are usually used to teach because they show how the electron ray is effected by the electric field and the magnetic field.
[edit] Motions in fields
Motion of particles in an electric field are parabolic, whereas they are circular in magnetic fields.
[edit] The Apparatus
The 'teltron' apparatus consists of a Teltron type electron deflexion tube, a Teltron stand, EHT power supply (0 - 5000 V DC, variable).
