Telthusbakken
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Telthusbakken is a street located in Oslo, in the borough of St. Hanshaugen.
During the 1500s, Telthusbakken was part of the main road passing the Old Aker Church, from east to west of Oslo and further across to the west coast. Sitting on top of the Telthusbakken hill, Aker Church was built during the Middle Ages and is the oldest building still in use in Oslo. An old anecdote says there are dragon-caves and a silver treasure under the church, which are stories that must originate due to the fact that the church is built over an old silver mine.
