Telio (OSE: TELIO) is Norway's first commercial Voice over IP network, that provides telephone service via a broadband connection.

Telio is the largest and fastest growing access independent VoIP provider in Europe. The company is privately held and headquartered in Oslo, Norway. In addition to offering services to end customers, Telio is also offering Telio Voice Production System (TVPS) on a white label basis for European ISPs. Among Telio’s founders and advisory board are VoIP and SIP experts from around the world, and Telio aims to at all times offer the most advanced multimodal broadband communications platform in Europe.
According to the Q4-2005 financial presentation, Telio operates in the Norwegian, Danish and Dutch markets. The company had around 80000 customers at the end of 2005. The company operates with a positive cash balance.
There were around 35 other operators in the Norwegian market at the end of 2005. The financial report mentions being contacted regularly by small, struggling companies.

Telio (τελιο) means "perfect" or "perfection" in Greek. One of its earliest recorded uses is in the Bible, where God tells Abraham to achieve spiritual perfection; it was translated in the Greek Bible translation as "Telio".
