Telenet

Telenet may refer to:

  • The name of a particular packet switched network, run by Sprint. The initial network was an ARPANET clone. An X.25 host interface was offered after X.25 gained some support in the industry. GTE owned it at one point and merged it with Uninet. It was later called "Sprintnet," but no longer exists. Sprint migrated customers off of Telenet to the modern-day SprintLink IP network, one of many networks comprising today's Internet. Telenet had offices in Reston, Virginia.
  • Telenet (Belgium), the largest provider of broadband cable services in Belgium
  • Telenet Japan, a Japan video game and software developer
