Telasi was the state-run power company in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia. It was sold to AES, whose efforts to repair and modernize the electrical grid of Tbilisi, the Georgian capital, was documented in the film "Power Trip", by Paul Devlin. After a few years of slow progress in the face of official corruption AES sold Telasi to a Russian company.
