Talk:Telefunken

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paragraph about Frank Zappa and his predilection for Neumann/Telefunken mics is trivia for the musician and not germane to this article. But it is important to note that Telefunken distributed Neumann mics for a time. Shadowhillway 21:32, 22 September 2005 (UTC)

Agreed. Also, in that paragraph there was a link (which I deleted) to the Web site of a company that calls itself "Telefunken USA" though it does not offer the original Telefunken (i.e. Neumann) U 47; rather, it sells modern imitations, as do numerous other vendors. In this context, the link seemed to imply an endorsement of their imitation as if it were genuine. There also is a link to the same company's site at the bottom of the page, which I left in place. But maybe it should explain that "Telefunken USA" is merely using these trademarks within North America, and has no connection to the original Telefunken company. Let me find out the current status of the situation and I'll either report back here or edit the page myself. -- DSatz 18:03, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Do other people think too that this article contains way too much "information" about that Telefunken USA company? Mabye some people should not hide their advertising in an article about another company...
