Tejatat Tejasen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Professor Tejatat Tejasen is often referred to as evidence supporting the scientific accuracy of the Quran. The explanaition given is usually that he is a famous Thai scientist (Chairman of the Department of Anatomy at Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand [1]) who converted to Islam after reading the following Ayat (verse) in the Quran:
"Those who reject our Signs, We shall soon cast into the Fire: as often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty: for Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise."
It is usually argued that people did not believe that pain was sensed in the skin prior to very recent scientific developments. This verse from the Quran is meant to support the fact that pain receptors (nociceptors) are found in the skin.
