Tej Bhan Bhalla

Tej Bhan Bhalla, was a shopkeeper and the father of the third Sikh guru, Guru Amar Das. He was vegetarian and belonged to Bhalla Khatri sub-caste. He belonged to village Basarke of Amritsar district where his wife Mata Lakhmi gave birth to Guru Amar Das in year 1479.
