Teila Tuli

Teila Tuli (born 1968) is an amateur sumo wrestler from Hawaii; one of a select group of Americans to compete in Japan, where he rose to the level of the makushita class. In November 1993, he competed in the UFC 1, an early mixed martial arts competition. He lost to Gerard Gordeau in the first round; the fight was stopped after Tuli was kicked in the face.
