[edit] PersonalWelcome to the User Page for Teh Tennisman. I am, recognizably and obviously, teh Tennisman, and actually, Aaron S(...haha, leaving that blank). I am a freshman at Carman-Ainsworth High School in Flint, MI (for my current schedule follow the link above). Really, anything you need to know is on my userboxen list. And yes, it is rather sad that my entire existence can be summed up by some 120 userboxes. I also may edit under the IP 207.74.115.23, my school's address. [edit] EditingI am able to help write/edit articles about many things, obviously including tennis. Others include Star Wars and its subsidaries, Lord of the Rings, the Inheritance trilogy, and many others. I am also excellent at all things grammatical, and so can help with grammar and spelling. See my userboxen for more detail. [edit] Contacting MeI can be reached at: agstanley092@gmail.com, and on MySpace at www.myspace.com/tennisman_ags. [edit] AwardsHere is where I have any and all awards received. I need to put this extra little piece here so they space out correctly; so either this stays here or someone tells me how to put a space to that the first one doesn't get de-spaced by the Defcon. And now I need to add more lines of stuff since my Navbar is getting so long. Is anyone hungry? I like pie...ah screw it this'll work.
[edit] Article of the DayThe Mormon handcart pioneers were participants in the migration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Salt Lake City, Utah who used handcarts to transport their belongings. The Mormon handcart movement began in 1856 and lasted until 1860. Motivated to join their fellow Church members but lacking funds for full ox or horse teams, nearly 3,000 Mormon pioneers from England, Wales, and Scandinavia made the journey to Utah in 10 handcart companies. Although fewer than ten percent of the 1847–68 Latter-day Saint emigrants made the journey west using handcarts, the handcart pioneers have become an important symbol in LDS culture, representing the faithfulness and sacrifice of the pioneer generation. The handcart pioneers continue to be recognized and honored in events such as Pioneer Day, Church pageants, and similar commemorations. The handcart treks were a familiar theme in 19th century Mormon folk music and have been a theme in LDS fiction, such as Gerald Lund's historical novel, Fire of the Covenant, and Orson Scott Card's science-fiction short story, "West."
