TEG (board game)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

TEG is an Argentine Risk-based board game created during the 1970s. The name is an acronym of Plan Táctico y Estratégico de la Guerra, Spanish for Plan for War Tactics and Strategy (The P does not stand in the acronym, for a reason yet unknown). The game appeared once in the film Kamchatka, although the film takes place in 1976 and their protagonists (Ricardo Darín and Cecilia Roth) are shown playing TEG, the game was still not released for public sale.

The game consists of a board divided in 50 countries, 6 boxes of differently colored tokens, country cards and goal cards. The mission is either to complete the goal stated at the goal card, or the generic goal of conquering 30 countries.

At least 2 variants of TEG have been released: TEG 2 and TEG 3: The Revenge. These variants bring new elements to the game, such as missiles, more countries, relationships between them, and an overall update of the game. It's manufactured by the Yetem corporation.
