[edit] Stagecoach
The point is that this is an encyclopædia; articles should be encyclopædic in content and style. The material that I deleted was inappropriate for two reasons: first, it's ephemeral (addresses, 'phone numbers, etc., can change overnight); secondly, look at other articles on companies — does any of them provide addresses and contact numbers? Do other reference works like the Britannica? Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 13:29, 22 May 2005 (BST)
- I've added a question about route-lists and contact details to Wikipedia:Village pump (policy); you might want to contribute there. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 15:03, 22 May 2005 (BST)

[edit] Stagecoach article
Hi. I'm glad that the Stagecoach article is being populated a little more, specifically with individual entries on each company. However, I tihnk it would make a lot more sense if the actual operating divisions were populated rather than individual "area" names or companies. For example, Stagecoach in Mansfield and Stagecoach in Chesterfield are both part of Stagecoach East Midlands. It would make a lot more sense, encyclopedically as well as ergonomically, for those two articles to be merged under a new Stagecoach East Midlands article, no? Stagecoach London, Stagecoach West Scotland and Stagecoach East Scotland have followed this convention so far, started by Stagecoach South Midlands. It would save on confusion as to what is an operating division, what is an individual company and what is an area 'descriptor' (i.e., Midland Red South is split over two operating divisions and several trading names). It wouldn't be detrimental to the work you've done as it would all be included under the one heading, but it would be more complimentary to the structure of the Stagecoach article as it stands.--Ayrshire--77 07:33, 26 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Wikitravel
Good idea. I think that the level of detail (routes, etc.) is probably more apt there. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 21:07, 26 May 2005 (UTC)

Your "mocking the calendar" addition is lovely, but do you have a reference for it? -- Jmabel | Talk 16:21, May 29, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] List of Primary Route Destinations in Warwickshire
Can you add context to these articles. They might be helpful but not how you've created them. What is a "primary route destination"... it has no article... and add an introduction please. gren グレン 11:31, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] List of Primary Route Destinations in the United Kingdom
Please come to the discussion at Talk:List of Primary Route Destinations in the United Kingdom. I think consensus is needed, and it is hard without knowing the context. Sonic Mew | talk to me 14:26, September 5, 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for your message. Nothing personal, I just didn't think the topic was right for Wikipedia. --G Rutter 10:36, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
