Ted Wells

Ted Wells, a litigation partner at the esteemed New York law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, is regarded by many within the legal profession as one of the top defense lawyers in the nation. The National Law Journal has selected Wells as one of America's best white-collar defense attorneys on numerous occasions. Wells is a graduate of College of the Holy Cross, Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.

Wells attended Holy Cross at the same time as Clarence Thomas, now a Supreme Court justice. Both participated in a walkout based on their beliefs of unfair practices, racially motivated, on the part of the college. The two were part of the same organization for black students at Holy Cross. Wells went onto Harvard, while Thomas went to Yale Law.

Currently, Wells is representing Scooter Libby who was indicted in the CIA Leak investigation for perjury and obstruction of justice.

Wells has successfully defended several high-profile clients including Michael Espy, Senator Robert Torricelli, and Congressman Floyd Flake.

Wells also has represented several major corporations during class action lawsuits including Merck, Phillip Morris, and Johnson and Johnson.

Wells also served as the national Treasurer to Democrat Bill Bradley's Presidential campaign. He is married to New Jersey Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells.
