Team Final Boss
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Final Boss is a professional MLG Halo 2 4v4 team. Formerly the top Halo team in the World, is now comprised of Ogre 1, Ogre 2, Walshy, and Strongside[1]. Former member Saiyan, was dropped for Strongside after the 2006 season ended. Some members formed apart of what was Team StK in 2004 and in 2005 their alias was Team 3D until they accepted a sponsorship from Gilbert Arenas. In June, 2006 they signed a contract with Major League Gaming worth 1,000,000 dollars over 3 years. Their 8-game winning streak since they started playing Halo in 2004 came to an end when Carbon, with newly acquired GH057ayame on roster, defeated them at the event in Orlando during the 2006 season. Carbon beat them at the final three events, including Orlando, the New York Playoffs and the National Championships in Las Vegas. At the National Championships, Final Boss finished 2nd and won $50,000 as a team.[2] Final Boss have a strong rivalry with MLG teams Str8 Rippin and Carbon. USA Network will broadcast an MLG show weekly featuring Final Boss from November to December 2006.[3]

[edit] Coach
After losing two events consecutively in 2006, Team Final Boss acquired The Ogre Twins' cousin, Marty Ogre 3[4] Ryan to coach them during the National Championship in Las Vegas.
[edit] Historical Transactions
In December 2004, just before the 2005 MLG Season began, the Ogres and Walshy dropped KillerN and joined forces with Saiyan to form what would go on to be far and away the most successful and heralded Halo 2 team to date. Always considered the team to beat, Final Boss--the circuit's longest standing roster--has set the bar for competitive gameplay, consistently innovating new strategies and techniques to stay ahead of the pack. Winning as many as eight consecutive tournaments, Final Boss has been a dynastic force within the MLG Pro Circuit. However, after losing to Team Carbon 3 times consecutively at the end of the 2006 season Final Boss would make their first roster change (2nd overall) since the beginning of the 2005 season. December 2006, before the 2007 begins, the Ogres and Walshy dropped Saiyan in favor of StrongSide.
