[edit] Overview
Team-BHP has absolutely no commercial activity. It accepts no advertising, no donations and there are no membership fees. The forum generally discourages discussions about subjects not related to the automobile scene.
The threads by members about their long term car reviews, travelogues and other similar articles help many understand the Indian automobile scenario. Also, non-partisan feedbacks about various automotive models and accessories by the members make Team-BHP one of the most useful and neutral Indian automobile websites around.
Team-BHP is thoroughly moderated and virtually all posts are vetted or cross-verified by other members. The credibility and reliability of the information accepted by the forum must pass both the verification of members and moderation. The collective effort of such a vigilant community has created a knowledge-base which is arguably the best available in the web for the Indian road scene.
TBHPians (as members are known) conduct local get-togethers in many cities and towns all over India. Mumbai and Bangalore holds the biggest TBHP crowd. There are also TBHPians with heavily modded (modified) cars, engine-wise and also with various ICE (In-Car Entertainment) installs.
One can browse though sections like What car (check this if you are confused about which car you going to buy), Technical Stuff (engine modifications, tuning and so on), Modifications and Accessories (Body modifications, tire upgrades, In-Car Entertainment and so on). Motorbikes takes care of the Indian motorbikes scenario. Shifting Gears is the place where one can check out posts about Gadgets and related off-topic material.
There were 305,569 posts in 15,958 threads on Team-BHP, posted by 8,957 members (As of 07 November, 2006 at 13:04 hours IST).

[edit] Criticisms
- Team-BHP happens to have more males than females, at the present time. Although there are some female members active in the forum, males form a brutal majority.
- Some TBHPians point out that while there are a lot of women among Indian automobile enthusiasts, few of them are interested or have time to discuss their views online and Team-BHP, has no prejudice in terms of sex, nationality or race.
- Team-BHP fuels consumerism and materialism. By projecting products that have a high cost-to-own factor and pollute and damage the environment, Team-BHP is corrupting people's viewpoint and supporting to damage the environment.
- It has been pointed out that though Team-BHP shuns advertising in all forms, the reviews and other threads about various marques, models and ancillary products in Team-BHP themselves form advertisements for respective products, in many cases.
- Team-BHP is often said to be too strictly moderated due to the number of members and often members complain that there are too many rules
