Taylor Hooton

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Taylor Hooton was a student athlete from Plano West Senior High School in Plano, Texas who in July 2003 committed suicide.

Taylor's family believed his death was connected to clinical depression caused by the use of steroids used for performance enhancement combined with Clomid, an estrogen pill designed for women with fertility problems, as well as anti-depressants. However this has been criticized.[1]

Since his suicide, his father, Don Hooton, has focused his attention on fighting steroid abuse through his organization, the Taylor Hooton Foundation.

Taylor is a cousin of Burt Hooton, a former Major League Baseball pitcher.
