Ok, the bot takes care of almost everything I do, I'm swamped with work right now. I'm outta here. If you need anything urgent, email me. -- Tawker 01:03, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Can u please tell me why you people FULLY protected the articlele Xbox 360?

help!

I accidentally blanked half the Robin Hood article. I know you fixed it when I did this to the Star Wars article. Can you tell me how to fix it? Thank you.

re: Unicornscan article deletion

I noticed that you have deleted the Unicornscan. Could you please point me to some justification of this?

Continuing the discussion...

On your talk page this time. You stated: "your current vote likely will confuse the hell out of a lot of users..." How many users who voted support actually understand the C# code TawkerBotTorA is written in ? Jcam

Retrieval

Would it be possible to retrieve the article somehow? I couldn't figure that out from the deletion history. Thanks

no offence

Are you a wiki freak???!?!? Your making me scared!

NO OFENCE!

Vandalbot mistake

Hello! The vandalbot tagged me as a vandal by mistake; I think that it may be because I forgot to sign a comment on WP:AIV but other than that I am pretty sure that I am not a vandal! (aeropagitica) 20:45, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Benton Academy

Sorry - I'll fix according to your comments.

Why was this deleted???

I did not have time to add the hangon tag to this page after it was marked. I had made links from the Benton, Mississippi page (the reference was there, I just added link capability. I was also referenced under [[List of high schools in Mississippi ]]. Again I just added the link ability. I seem to remember two links being a qualifying parameter. I also have about 200 words of text to be added. There are several additional schools in the same catagory listed on Wikipedia indluding Trinity Episcopal Day School, Southaven High School, Jim Hill High School and several others.

Check other modifications by same user with bot

Is there any way you could do this? Often, a user who had a change reverted by the bot also performed many other vandalizations. If the bot could check through the user's edits, it would help clear out vandalism even faster.

Re: Wii

Why did you unprotect the page?

Despotism

I am tens of millions of people. You block one IP, I come back with another. You block that one, I come back with another. Just drop the facade and block everyone, or I will never go away until there is justice, and your people have decided against that option, so I will never go away.

Closing of GNAA AFD after only 2 days?

Why did you close a AFD after only 2 days? It is obviously a contentious issue and should be discussed. --TrollHistorian 06:16, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

On that note, for the trolling you will have to withstand as a result, Tawker, I award you the Big Brass Balls. MESSEDROCKER 11:53, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Dude, you got a massive pair of balls. You used them well. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 23:10, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

And I was just starting to look around for a barnstar, LOL. The one above is perfect. Cheers, Antandrus (talk) 01:21, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Well done, friend, well done. I've wanted to and never had the guts. Chick Bowen 01:52, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

GNAA got deleted? wow... anyhow I was wondering if you could subst the deleted Template: GNAA-AfD somewhere to make it easier to look at the (long) history of these many bizare nominations. --T-rex 03:43, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks --T-rex 03:49, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Please stop bad faith edits with misleading summaries such as this one. Sam Hocevar 00:04, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

While it was a contentious decision, it was not a contraversial one, as no amount of consensus can trump core policy. Good call, I am sure it will pass review. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 00:27, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

RfA thanks

Thank you for voting in my RfA, I passed. I appreciate your input. Please keep an eye on me(if you want) to see if a screw up. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 16:41, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Re: Excuse Me

While “removing the link” you inadvertently removed 500 characters of text around it, as well as a whole subsection title. Excuse me for erroneously calling that a misleading edit summary. Everyone makes honest typos from time to time! Cheers, Sam Hocevar 00:50, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

4chan

Excuse me, but why would you block the article on 4chan? there hasn't been any major issue recently and vandalism has stopped, could you please explain this? Nightmare X 11:54, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

I would also share my concern in this matter.--ABigBlackMan 16:20, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

It's hysterical, I know! The two fictional addresses you see (bank in the West, client in the East) come from a Canada Post addressing guide. -- AirOdyssey (Talk) 23:58, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Typo on your userpage

You mistakenly refer to boxes as "boxen." Boxen is not a word and is not the accepted English pluralization of box. Just letting you know. If you're deliberately misspelling it just to be pretentious or whatever, then my bad. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.207.216.95 (talk) .

Wiki Warfare to Infinity

He was reported by User:Ryulong on WP:AIV as the GNAA vandal. I am not exactly monitoring the issue, he seems suspicious but not up to block yet. I also do not like the username. If he would change username I am ready to clean the autoblocks Alex Bakharev 04:57, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Sprotect2

I see you added {{Sprotected2}} to ArbCom nominations. Well, sprotect2 is only for semi-protection, and the page now says that 'This project page is semi-protected' when it is protected. I can create a Protect2 if you want. semper fiMoe 02:54, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Created at Template:Protected2. If I could request that you protect the page, because it is a protection template and feel free to spread it's usage a little more :) semper fiMoe 03:16, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Copy of deleted article

Hi, apprently you can provide copies of deleted articles. I'd like to examine the Bunchies article again, and possibly make it more encyclopaedic for an undeletion proposal. If possible, can it be on a user subpage, but I have no idea how to make one. :/ Thanks for your help. Bronzey 03:57, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Woo, thanks. Bronzey 04:17, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Other wikis

Is there anyway of having this bot run on other Mediawiki wikis, such as Lostpedia? --90.192.92.209 16:00, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

In short, it needs an IRC recent changes feed like like the wmf runs to work. Other than that it should run fine -- Tawker 13:55, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

AntiVandalBot - is it written in perl?

I'm trying to write a perl bot for certain tasks (its in requests for approval at the moment) but am having trouble making it add comments to pages since there seems to be a process of edit tokens etc. Was wondering if you could point me to any useful guidelines for perl wikibots or had any code for this?? Cheers - PocklingtonDan 12:37, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

AVB itself is written in python, there is a perl framework somewhere, I think, it's on meta under bots. -- Tawker 18:46, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

i need some help

i run a new and small wiki project at http://www.boobpedia.com/boobs/Main_Page (NOT work safe)

today we just saw the first instance of vandalism - please see http://www.boobpedia.com/boobs/Special:Recentchanges for the edit by 149.135.18.60 on december 5. a simple page blanker, and i blocked the IP. still, the vandal got away with blanking the page for almost two hours. i've seen antivandalbot catch such obvious vandalism on wikipedia in seconds, and i wonder if you could help me run a similar bot on my wiki? i just need something basic that can catch obvious vandalism like page blanking and insertion of bad words. i'd be very greatful if you could help me out :)

you can find my email address at http://www.boobpedia.com/boobs/User:Hexvoodoo. or you can just use my talk page, either here or on boobpedia. email might be better because this info shouldn't be seen by vandals. thanks in advance for any help --Hexvoodoo 10:17, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

thanks for the info. is the IRC recent changes feed a difficult thing to set up for someone who is new to it? if it is, do you know about any other anti-vandal bots which do not require an IRC feed? it doesn't have to be as advanced as AVB. i do have a LAMP server.
btw: i noticed that you were from BC. if you live in vancouver too, i'll buy you lunch anywhere in town if you help me get some kind of anti-vandal protection :p --Hexvoodoo 20:33, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Request for comment

Could you please comment on my proposal? I've almost made up my mind to try building it myself, but I would like to build upon AntiVandalBot rather than start from scratch. Also, I have no previous experience programming Wikipedia bots, so I would appreciate any help. Trapolator 22:46, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Ok, your User page has bugs. Lots of bugs. Many, many bugs. However, we can't fix them, because you fully protected your page. Maybe you might revise your user page? -Slash- 05:00, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Proposed new "how to get started writing a bot page" - request for comments

I think there is confusion on how to go about starting a bot (eg here and here) and there is no wikipage covering this, the main bot page talks only about policy, not avenues for getting started, how to make a bot etc. I have made a suggestion that a howto page be established and, as a frequent editor helping out with bots, I would appreciate your comments. Many Thanks - PocklingtonDan 07:56, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
