A Tavern puzzle is a metal disentanglement puzzle, usually featuring a ring or other object that has to be removed. Tavern Puzzle is a registered trademark of Tucker-Jones House, Inc., in East Setauket, New York. The company manufactures more than 25 different tavern puzzles, ranging from basic to complex. The early puzzles made by Tucker-Jones are based on designs that have been around for centuries. Dennis Sucilsky, owner and blacksmith, began creating metal puzzles in 1980.
