Tau Andromedae (τ And / τ Andromedae) is a binary star in the constellation Andromeda. It is approximately 681 light years from Earth.
The primary component, τ Andromedae A, is a blue-white B-type giant with an apparent magnitude of +4.96. The companion, τ Andromedae B, is a 12th magnitude star, 52.3 arcseconds distant.
