Tau, Norway

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tau is a village in the municipality of Strand. Tau has about 2000 inhabitants and is connected to Stavanger by ferry.

The name comes from the Norse word Taufr meaning witchcraft, and one believes there was a sacrificial field here in the Iron age.

Most days the place smells of puffed rice, because of the factory Vestkorn AS.
