[edit] Dark Crusade addition

I edited the article earlier to fix when it was released. It was listed as November but it did come out in October. I known because I've had it for a couple of days already.

I have increased the section on Tau in Dawn of war, with more information, as well as a picture. Tell me what you think! -Mr. Mittens

More appropriate for the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War page than this one would be my feeling. Cheers --Pak21 23:28, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Agree on move. Brief information on the Tau's role in the game can later be provided, when the game is released. -- Saberwyn 01:53, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, that seems like a better idea. Thanks for moving it. Same goes for whoever moved the Necron section.

[edit] ???!!! YAH!

Was the rewrite article finally implanted into this? Colonel Marksman 18:29, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Yes. Why? -- Saberwyn 21:35, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey hypocrites!

I have the Tau codex and the Demiurg, the Nicassar or the Tallerians, none of them are in the fricken codex! my freind placed his custom chapter and you said " It was not codex!" what was that all about! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tauman (talkcontribs) .

Have you read (eg) the Battlefleet Gothic rulebook, in particular the part referenced by the Demiurg and Nicassar articles (To Unite The Stars)? They are both canonical Games Workshop creations. Cheers --Pak21 14:54, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
And the Tallerians are mentioned in the novel Kill Team. SAMAS 12:49, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
If you've got Kill Team, could you confirm the spelling of "Tallerians"? (See Talk:Tallerians (Warhammer 40,000) for context). Cheers --Pak21 14:38, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Similarities between Marathon and the Tau from Warhammer 40,000

For those of you familiar with the Games Workshop tabletop game Warhammer 40,000, you will notice the Tau have a similar ressemblance to the style and pictography of Marathon's main character and the Bungie game Abuse's main character. Now I know Marathon came out a long time ago but it seems funny that both the Tau's logo and the Marathon logo are almost identical. In addition, the name of the planet Tau Ceti IV uses the word as well. Any thoughts? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gx9000 (talk • contribs) .

Have you read the archive? Cheers --Pak21 08:14, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
I read the archive, it degresses into a trivia discussion that has nothing to do with the point Gx9000 brought up. Why hasn't Bungie sued? The word Tau appears directly in both brands. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sp4i6 (talkcontribs) .
The word "Tau" is a letter in the Greek Alphabet --64.12.117.11 21:07, 7 July 2006 (UTC)Will
And put simply, GW would win because they have the fancy lawers and lodes of money. 207.90.106.114 16:57, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
But more money and better lawyers than Microsoft? That's who owns Bundie now. ;) --Falcorian (talk) 20:26, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tau Empire

Shouldn't this page be renamed Tau Empire or The Tau Empire? This is what it is officially called on Games Workshop's website, in the new codex, and in Dark Crusade. 86.135.184.171 19:24, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Subpage

Why do we have a subpage at Tau (Warhammer 40,000)/archive? Things like this should be done in non-article space. Also, it seems that it hasn't actually been done much with since september. Should we put it up for deletion?-Localzuk(talk) 18:51, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

It's an archive of the old page before saberwyn's rewrite. It can't be deleted as it is needed to preserve the contributor information, although a history merge could be done. --Pak21 09:18, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
